Crazy Buzy

Well things feel so crazy right now! We are busily trying to look for a place to rent, we need to move in about 3-4 weeks, which just feels so soon! I found a place we are in love with (its just three doors down from our current house) and I sent in the application but I'm nervous on whether it will go through or not. We are trying to find a car we would like to buy and get that all square away. I have been sick, but am starting to feel a little better. I go to the doctor again on Tuesday, excited for that! Last weekend was busy but fun. Got to spend time with both of my sets of parents and got stuff done around my house too! I have pics I will post soon. This weekend I am seeing Sex & The City (twice) and excited for some girl time! As much as I love my baby its been a long time since mommy had girl time! That's about it for now. Just trying to get ready to move and keep up with the daily grind. Hope you are all doing wonderful!

Contemplative

So, lately I have been checking out everyone's blogs, visiting links on peoples blogs and finding people from high school. Its so weird to see them and what their life is like since I knew them. It has made me very contemplative over my life the last four years. I have always been excited to do things and jump in 'em with both feet. I got married young and actually I guess done everything young but I wouldn't trade anyone of it for the world! So I wanted to jot down a quick little timeline of my life since I met Kevin.

  • Dec '02- Met Kevin over Christmas break, we were a couple by New Years.
  • May'03- We got engaged when I was a junior in high school
  • January '04- Graduated high school
  • June 19, 2004- We got married in Boise and honeymooned in McCall
  • July '04- Went to New York for about a month to model competition; decided I wanted a different lifestyle
  • August '04- Started working at Chatterbox
  • June '05- celebrated 1st anniversary in McCall and had a blast!
  • February '06- Pregnant for first time
  • June 16, 2006- Miscarriage at five months, a son named Carson
  • July '06- Bought our first home
  • Summer '06- Got to travel all summer for CBX going to trade shows and teaching classes. Through CBX I've been to Vegas, Chicago, Little Rock AR, Mall of America just to name a few
  • October '06- Pregnant with Addison
  • January '07- no longer working for CBX
  • Jan-July '07- I got to just be pregnant and spend time with family and friends. My pregnancy kept me pretty busy, went into pre-term labor at 14 weeks, on bed rest for a month then on limited activity, weekly doc apt & ultrasounds, genetic testing, hospital stay, then finally...
  • July 7, 2007- Addison Marie born
  • Nov '07 - started substitute teaching part time
  • Jan '08- got hired on at AISG and started working full time since Addi was born
  • April '08- pregnant with Baby Tobias
Today- I look back on my life and feel blessed, I have always been surrounded by my family and friends; they have guided me and supported me through all excitement in my life. I have learned some pretty hard life lessons, but lessons I know that I needed to learn and they have made me the person I am today. The places I have been have blessed me with life-long friends. I'm 22 and half, and can't believe everything that's happened, I can't believe its been almost five years since I graduated high school or that I've been married just shy of four years. I still can't believe I'm a mom, or that I'm pregnant again, but if you know what you want from life why wait? I guess, basically, I LOVE MY LIFE!

Addison Birth Announcement

I love, love, love this! It's Addi's birth announcement that my friend April made but I never got to use because I was a slacker mom and never sent them out! Something I totally regret now! But I wanted to share it with you all because it is so beautiful. I think I am going to see if I can work with April to create Addi's one year b-day invites, she has a company doing graphic design work and I just love it. I know so many people that do graphic design and they are all so talented. When I used to work at CBX I could just sit at Jesse's desk for hours and watch her design. It's one of my goals to learn how to do this. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Sara

Busy but good weekend

What a busy weekend, but lots of fun! Friday night I stopped by my moms after work and she decided to come run errands with me, I was really glad she did because its been a while since we've gotten to hang out. We had a really good time chatting in the car, we picked up Addi from daycare, went to Fred Meyer and got some Mother's Day things, went to Costco and got some formula. I ran into my babysitter that we always had as kids there and it was so cool to see her, she looks just the same as I remember her and has a cute little girl. Then drove back out to Eagle to get my car and head home, so it was a little late when we got home and Addi went to bed way past her bedtime, poor girl!

Saturday we got up early and went and met up with April and Becca at Other Mothers in Boise for the $0.25 sale! It was great, I got a garbage bag of clothes for $8 and a brand new Graco stroller for $25! I was thrilled with my finds, Addi got so much cute stuff but I need to go through it cause I'm a little worried shes going to have all these cute pieces but nothing that matches well to make an outfit. I also bought some newborn baby boy stuff, because I have myself convinced I'm having a boy, but I figure if I'm not I'll just sell it at a garage sale for $0.25. We then headed over to Becca's to try to make a Mother's Day present for my mom but it did not work! We were going to try to take the baby's hand prints and you stamp them in a circle and it creates a flower, we were going to put these all over an apron for my mom but their hand prints were just big blobs of paint, so we'll wait till they are a little older. We ended up getting her some nice things but I always prefer to give handmade gift. We then got to head over to Jesse for a play date! There was Jesse and her daughter Gracie, (which if I have another girl I'm stealing your name Jesse cause I love it so much) and Nicole and her son Finley. We did cheese and then chocolate fondue and just had so much fun. I always have so much fun with these girls, I can just relax and be myself. Can't wait till next month girls!

Sunday was a nice day. Kevin got up with Addison for me so I got to sleep in until 9:30! We went over to my moms and Kevin made eggs and hash browns and bacon for us and my grandma and sister made asparagus and a fresh berry salad. It was such a yummy brunch. We just hung out all day eating and being outside, playing Wii, I took a nap. Then we went home and Kevin put Addi to bed and I got to watch my Sunday night shows and then we watched The Golden Compass, it was pretty good but I want to watch it again.

I hope you all had wonderful, deserving days with your families! I know you are all inspirations to me of how to be a wonderful mom and I would be lost without all your advice. Here are a few of my favorite mother quotes:

My mom is a never ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. ~Graycie Harmon

All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother. ~Abraham Lincoln

I forgot what it's like

I can't believe how soon we forget!- I'm talking about being pregnant. Oh my gosh, I have this incredible feeling, this awe and this excitement, but I also have the sickness and the complete down to the bone sheer tiredness (is that even a word, I'm so tired I'm not sure). I could sleep for hours on end and still be tired. I feel so bad for my sweet hubby, who has to put up with my mood swings. I wonder if this is what its like to be bi-polar? I can have this sheer happiness and then two minutes later be flying off the pan handle over tripping over a pair of shoes. I will be glad to get my first trimester over with and this extreme craziness over with. I'm half way there! Was everyone else like this? I am so lucky to have such patient family and friends, I promise I'm trying not to be so hormonal. I think the reason I am having such a hard time with this is because I try very hard to be able to have control over my attitude, and be a happy person to be around, even right now as I am writing this I am feeling so guilty for complaining about the not so fun parts of being pregnant. I really do appreciate this blessing and feel like this is the right thing for me right now. So I will just leave it at that instead of continuing to carry on about it. I know I am truly blessed to have this little miracle inside of me.
Much Love,
Sara

So Much to Say

Hi Everyone!

I feel like I kind of fell of the face of the earth the last two weeks. Things have been so crazy! I'll do my best to update you all. I haven't had time to talk to most of you much, let alone hang out and I miss everyone! Well I have to say that I have some news I'm dying to tell but I'm trying to keep my mouth shut, which as most of you know is really hard for me! I'm such a big mouth -lol! I can't keep secrets! But onto my updates:

Addison- My sweet baby girl has been so sick! For about the past two weeks she has had the flu! It is so sad, she is throwing up and then she bawls after she does and it makes me cry, its so sad! She has had really bad diapers and no appetite. I finally took her to the doctor on Monday, which was a good idea, she gave me a pat on the back as a mom and said I was doing a good job of keeping her hydrating which I was really worried about. She did recommend not giving her juice but Gatorade instead which was a great idea because she loves the Gatorade. I have missed so much work in the past two works but I am so blessed because my job is so understanding and supportive about it. I think the worst is behind us and she is finally starting to feel better. Next, Baby Idol, thank you so much to everyone who voted! However, the first cut was made Thursday night and Addi was cut. I didn't realize how much they are doing it like American Idol, they are doing eliminations twice a week, which is a lot of voting; so while I'm sad that she isn't in it any more that would have just been too much voting. And I have to brag a little as a mom now because while we were at the doctor she said that Addison is really advanced for her age and really smart. She is giving kisses and waving bye-bye, she is just about as cute as ever!

My Hubby and I- Well, Kevin has had to work so much, he is such a trooper! Last week he had an off site sale at the fairgrounds and worked 72 hours in 5 days, and he just had his first day off yesterday. So I swear I didn't even remember what he looked like until yesterday! On the up side of working all those hours he has sold a ton of cars which is so exciting for us. We are finally finishing up our bankruptcy and have started to look for a place to rent, I am so glad to have this chapter of our life behind us. We are also trying to buy a car, since we don't own one that works, so hopefully we will get that done soon and then we can finally stand on our own two feet. We are planning our anniversary trip for next month to McCall and I am super excited. Things have been really stressful but I am trying to tell myself we are coming to an end to this chapter and can finally start a happier, less stressful one. So here's to hoping for a wonderful summer!

Other Events- Well last weekend my older brother and his wife were finally able to bless and be sealed to their son Tyson who is six months old. I am so happy for them, they have waited so long for Tyson and for these special events, much love to you all! My older sister Christi was in town with her four kids from Utah, it was so great to see them, it has been way to long and I miss them. I love you all and am working on planning a trip to come see you this summer. My little step-sister Payton also got baptized last weekend, congrats Payton! My niece Kaycee also just celebrated her birthday, sorry I missed it Kaycee I love you! By the way if you were a little lost on my count of brothers and sisters it is 4 half, 3 full, 6 step for a grand total of 13! With a wonderful 13 nieces and nephews and one on the way.

Ok well, I realize this is the longest post ever but I have one other little thing to share. So much for keeping my mouth shut... I'M PREGNANT! I think about six weeks along, but I go to the doctor on the 20th. I am really excited, a long with some other crazy emotions, but mostly excited. This is my third pregnancy in a row! Which is just crazy but I am really excited! The kids will be about 18 months apart which is the same as my little sister Becca and I, it was so great to be that close in age growing up so I am excited that Addi and her little sibling will have that. I am kind of feeling boy, but we'll see. I was really sick last week but this week has been good. I have also given my body strict instructions that this will be an easy pregnancy! There will be no pre-term labor at 14 weeks, no hospital visits, no weekly ultrasounds, no drama! I will admit I'm a little stressed and scared, as you can probably tell, we didn't plan on this, but I do believe in a divine plan for our lives, and while I didn't plan on this I do feel it is right. Well I'll leave you with that happy thought.

Happy Mothers Day to All!

Love,
Sara

Vote For Addi

This is my favorite picture of Addi! I just love the look of pure joy and that special day I had with her, just to relax and be her mom and play and not to have to worry about anything but her. It was a glorious day! I love her blue eyes and smile and her cheeks are all rosy because she just woke up from a nap. She is just so cute!

I'm not much of a contest person, actually I've never entered one in my life, but this picture is so cute and captures Addi's personality so much that I had to enter it into Magic 93.1 (radio station) Baby Idol contest. There are about 300 entries and Addi really is the cutest, and I'm not just saying that as her mom I swear -lol! If she wins she gets a new car seat and stroller and diapers. Which not only would totally rock but she outgrew her car seat so it would be so useful too!

So you have to go online and vote for my baby girl! Just click on the link below and then at the bottom of the page enter in Addison T to vote for her and that's it. Lets make Addi the Boise Baby Idol!

Thanks for taking the time to do this!
