Random Ramblings

Its been a while since I've done an update on the little daily happenings of our life.

Addi is 17 months old now and her little personality just shines through! She is talking more and more, she constantly talks her baby language non stop and the list of real words she can say is getting longer and longer. She loves to talk (wonder where she gets that from-lol) and she loves to say no. She walks around all day long saying no in tons of different tones and expressions, her latest is saying 'no way' and shaking her head very seriously when she really doesn't want anything. It is so funny! She loves to take a bath every night, right after dinner she runs into the bathroom and bangs on the side of the tub for a bath and most nights she wins and gets one. She loves to play with phones and wash her baby dolls with wipes. She is super tall, 95% and already wears 2T clothes so they are long enough and big enough around her Buddha belly. She is such a happy little girl, she loves to be tickled and loves it when dad chases her around the house. We have been spending a lot of time over at Grandma Cindy's house and she has been playing lots and becoming bestest little friends with her cousin Connor and loves Aunt Becca who is always so silly and playing games with the babies and getting them to laugh. Connor is the cutest little red haired boy you will ever meet and way too smart. He talks in almost complete sentences walking around saying Connor and ok! all the time. It is so special to Becca and I that we have our babies so close, they are great little buddies and we have a really special bond with the babies and each other as we get to experience all the ups and downs of parenting together. Addi has been such a ray of sunshine in all our lives lately and I am so grateful for my daughter!

Kevin has been doing great, he has been such huge help these last couple of months as I don't have much energy. He spends lots of time with Addi when he can and cooks dinner almost every night he is home. We went to his Christmas party and he got honored as the highest grossing salesman in the dealership, which is a huge honor he has worked very hard for. He has been so patient with me and my hormones, I can barely even put up with me by the end of the day but he is always so sweet and loving to me each night.

Baby Hudson is almost here! I went to the doc yesterday and without getting into all the details we expect him to be here today or tomorrow! It all seems so surreal right now, but I am very excited and anxious to have him here! We will be at St. Lukes Meridian, which I hope is a good experience. Addi was born at St Als and we really had some issues there so I hope this goes much smoother. We are only having our parents come see us in the hospital, not because we don't adore everyone else but I am going to focus on getting rest and having this special time with Kevin and Hudson as a family. This really isn't meant to hurt anyone and it certainly isn't because you aren't special to us but I am trying to follow my heart and do what I want and what I think is best. I hope you all understand and as soon as we get home we would be more than happy to have you all come see us in our home! We are very excited to introduce Hudson to the world and all the wonderful people who love him!

My job is going really well and I am looking forward to the New Year. It is going to be a great year, my mom is going to get better, I have my new little family with me, Kevin and I are both looking forward to exciting new part of our jobs. We will be married five years next year and would like to take a cruise, any tips for planning one would be great and we are going to have lots of family fun. And not to overlook Christmas, I am very grateful for this time of year and feel very blessed to be welcoming a new little boy into our family. Through all the ups and downs this past year I have been so in awe of our Lord and the way He works. He has looked over my family and provided us with so much.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!
Lots of Love,
Sara

Oh, where to start

I have so much on my mind, I don't even know where to start. I just have this feeling I can't shake, its so tired, but its more than that, its like deep down to the bone, to my soul exhausted and worn out, it feels like it hurts my finger bones to even type. But I am the personality type where I feel so much better when I can get things off my chest so I am making myself write.

My Mom
My mom has been diagnosed with colon cancer. Just writing it feels so surreal, I can't believe this is really happening. Its my mom, this just isn't suppose to happen. I can't even put into words how scared I am of loosing her. She is what gets me through, she is always there, she is my rock, without her I can't survive. She is where I get my strength, what gets me through my trials. She is my friend I can tell anything to and the woman I look at and say I want to be just like her. She is so giving and happy, faithful, fun. I've always known I've had a great mom but the last couple of months it has really been hitting me that not everyone has that, that I am so blessed!! They are still doing testing to stage it, she had a cat scan and it is only in the one spot which is really really great, she meets with the oncologist this week and they expect her to start radiation and chemo after the first of the year. I just can't believe this is really happening.

Then with being weeks, possibly days before having my baby and the holidays I am just so tired. I want to snap out of this and have energy and a positive attitude but I'm just struggling...

Pray With Me My Friends

I don't have word right now...only these quotes, which express the deepest parts of my heart...my momma is sick, so sick and so brave. I firmly believe in the power of prayer!!! So I beg you sweet friends, please pray with me. Pray for my momma, for her health, for a Christmas miracle.

My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. ~Graycie Harmon

Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. ~Marion C. Garretty

I love my mother as the trees love water and sunshine - she helps me grow, prosper, and reach great heights. ~Adabella Radici

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving

A mother's happiness is like a beacon, lighting up the future but reflected also on the past in the guise of fond memories. ~Honoré de Balzac

A father may turn his back on his child, brothers and sisters may become inveterate enemies, husbands may desert their wives, wives their husbands. But a mother's love endures through all. ~Washington Irving

There's nothing like a mama-hug. ~Adabella Radici

A daughter is a mother's gender partner, her closest ally in the family confederacy, an extension of her self. And mothers are their daughters' role model, their biological and emotional road map, the arbiter of all their relationships. ~Victoria Secunda

The tie which links mother and child is of such pure and immaculate strength as to be never violated. ~Washington Irving

My mom is literally a part of me.... ~Carrie Latet

Winter Rut

I am in a winter rut. I feel just blah, and prego and just yuck and I'm trying to snap out of it so I was doing some web searching for some inspiration and found this and thought I would share. Enjoy!

"I Totally Love Myself in the Now"
Love is the biggest eraser there is. Love erases even the deepest imprinting because love goes deeper then anything. If you childhood imprinting was very strong, and you keep saying: "It's their fault. I can't change," you stay stuck.
Do a lot of mirror work. Love yourself in the mirror from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Dressed or naked. Look into your eyes and love you and your child within.
Be gentle, kind and comforting with your inner child as you uncover and release the old, negative messages within you. Affirm: All my changes are comfortable, easy and fun!" And so it is!

K~Love

1. Where did you meet your husband? We had mutual friends back in the day, when we first meet each other we were not impressed with each other to say the least, then a couple years later we were crazy for each other
2. How long did you date before you got married? We dated about a year before we got engaged, then we were engaged for about a year. We started dating New Years Eve of 2002, yes I was just a young lil pup then
3. How long have you been married? 4 1/2 years, wow that makes me feel old
4. What does he do that surprises you? He is the best at surprises! He does the great little everyday stuff, cooking for me-he does that a lot cause he is way better at it than me, picking up Addi, which counts as surprises cause I don't ask him to do this stuff he just does it sometimes. But he is the bestest at big surprises! And I love surprises so I always make sure not to be snoopy. For my 20th bday he got us VIP tickets to Sara Evans at the Winery at Eagle Knoll, which included an amazing dinner, front row seats and lots of wine. Then the next year a month before my birthday he got us great seats (fourth row) for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, rented a white limo, and took me to dinner at the Melting Pot. I know I am one lucky gal!
5. What is your favorite feature of his? His face, the whole thing, he is so manly and rugged but can be so polished and he has this way of looking at me with this look in his eyes or a deep heartfelt laugh that his whole face lights up. He is such a stud!
6. What is his best quality? He cooks for me...ok really it is he is a really hard worker, always trying really hard to provide for our family and he has unwavering loyalty to his friends. I know thats two qualities, your just lucky I stopped there.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? No not really, the occasional Bunny or Princess but any sweet nothing will do
8. What is his favorite food? Anything with cheese or ranch or better yet both
9. What is his favorite sport? Does hunting count?
10. When and where did you first kiss? A few weeks before we were even officially a couple in his kitchen with our friends in the living room watching movies, gives me butterflies to think about it.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? I love our lazy Sundays where we just hang out around the house and cook and watch movies and just be as a family. Or when we are up in McCall four-bying or fishing.
12. Do you have any children? 1 and 3/4 and Kevin would count his cat, but I don't like the cat
13. Does he have any hidden talents? hhmmm if he does they are hidden from me too
14. How old is he? 26
15. Who said I love you first? I did. I wear my heart on my sleeve, I can't help it. But he did ask me to be his girl and I said no, then later I asked him to be a couple and well you know the rest
16. What is his favorite music? pretty much anything, not a big fan of rap or country but he likes some of it all
17. What do you admire most about him? Wow, um he's pretty great all around but if I had to say something it would be he doesn't like to go to bed mad or walk away he likes to talk it through and resolve the issue. I admire this because I'm more of a run away, avoid confrontation type of person but he has really taught me to work through things.
18. What is his favorite color? Blue
19. Will he read this? No. Pretty sure he has no idea how to get to my blog.
20. I tag Tara, Amy, Kelly & Lori

Happy Friday

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.... It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow." -Melodie Beattie

The Happy List

  • Addison: every day she makes my world brighter and puts a smile on my face.

  • Kevin: he is always supporting me.

  • All my family and friends, if I listed you all out we would be here for hours, but you know who you are and you know I love you!

  • Hudson: this pregnancy has gone so well against all odds!

  • Hudson full closet: Stacey and Becca gave little Hudson so, so many clothes that I really don't think he would ever wear them all. This random act of kindness by my sweet friend and sister has meant so much to me, as a mother you worry so much about being able to adequately provide for your kids and now as I walk by his full closet and get tears knowing that God answers prayers through the people in our lives.

  • I have a job in a time when so many others don't.

  • I know I am loved. I still have all my birthday cards up on my fridge and they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

  • I am healthy.

  • God loves me.

  • As promised in my previous post about trying to stop worrying I thought I would take a few quick minutes and write down a few happy thoughts.

Lots to say

Well, my mind is racing a million different places, as it seems it is most days. Addi and I had a fun Halloween, we went trick-or-treating with my sister Amy and her family. I just adore Amy and we haven't seen much of each other lately so it was really fun to spend time with her. Addi did so good going door to door! She walked right up to each door, and got a piece of candy and insisted on caring her own basket, she was so cute! I couldn't believe how well she did, she was little miss independent and happy that she could do it all by herself. We didn't stay out too long but we had a blast, although we missed Daddy cause he had to work late (I am so ready for my husband to be out of the car business!). Thanks Amy and Family! Saturday I got a pre-natal massage that Mari gave me for my birthday, Becca watched Addi and then we both hung out with the kids. Connor and Addi are only three months apart and it is so fun to see them be the cutest little friends. Connor can talk to so well and the whole time was saying Addi this and Addi that...we even got him to say Baby Hudson and to point to my tummy and say 'baby in there'. It is amazing how smart Connor is, he is only 18 months old and just so smart, like his mom and dad. Then the guys got off work and we all had pizza and watched the end of the BSU game. It was really nice to just hang with family and to be able to just be. Sunday Kevin had the day off and we just hung out at home. I had all these things I was going to work on, but we just relaxed all day long and it felt great! I went to the doc this morning and things are going great, everything is right where it should be.

Switching gears... life is been...I don't even know how to describe it, its not bad, and there are lots of good parts but it is stressful. There are these trials that I feel like I've already dealt with a hundred times and I'm just frustrated that I'm still dealing with it. I know life can't be perfect and I know I need trials as a part of life but I just want a break. I don't want to have these constant worries, I'm sick of trying to figure out how to just get by with the basics in life. I feel like I have to keep having these trials because I haven't learned what I need to yet, but I feel like I get. I just want a break. A few months where we can make ends meet and have fun and relax with our family. I try to tell myself positive affirmations and put positive energy into the world but it just feels like a huge joke. I'm trying here but I just need a break. Then as soon as I write all this I feel guilty because somehow, and I have no idea how we are being taken care of; we still do have a roof over our heads and food on our table. I really don't know how we are getting by each month but we. And that's all I ask for, but its hard not to want just a little more. I feel silly about writing about it and so materialistic and I don't like being that way. I'm just sick of not being able to go out to dinner with my husband or go buy clothes for Addi. But enough of that. When I was getting my massage there were these positive affirmation sayings and the one that really sticks out in my mind is this:

My world is well.

So I will stop whining and put my big girl panties on and deal with and keep reminding myself my world really is well and that God does love me and beyond that I am going to give it my A+ effort to stop worrying.

8 months

I can not believe I am eight months pregnant today! It is just crazy, this pregnancy has gone by so much faster. I am ready to be done though, I am uncomfortable and can't sleep and my lower back and hips are bothering me, just the usual pregnancy stuff. Other than that every thing is going great! I am excited and getting ready, I can't wait for my baby shower on Saturday and to get his room all set up. I know these last seven weeks are going to just fly by! See you soon baby Hudson!

Oops I did it again

A few of us in the office decided to dress up. Cherrie is BamBam and I am the ghetto-fab, white trash, prego Brittany Spears! Well, more of an update later, off to go get Addi and take her for her first trick or treating. Have a fun and safe Halloween!

Welcome Joshua Ryan

Love those little cheeks!
Joshua with big sisters Chloe and Maya

So peaceful

My sister Kelly had her baby on Tuesday night, a little boy named Joshua Ryan, he weighs 9 lbs 7 ounces and is 21 inc long. He is so beautiful and I can't wait to meet him! I can't believe I am going to have a new little one soon, only about 7 weeks! That is just crazy! It seems so far and so close at the same time. There was a newborn baby in the office today and I had a mild panic attack, not sure I'm ready for all this but its a little late for that now-lol. Even though I am nervous, I am far, far more excited. I can't wait for him to be here and meet him!

The Good Ones

Life is slowing down. I am taking a break, breathing deep and getting back to what makes me happy which is making time for my family and friends. I haven't made time for them lately which is so unlike me and I can feel the empty place where I know they need to be. I was recently talking to a girl I work with who told me how she has no support system. And I felt so bad for her, I didn't know what that was like. I didn't know what to say because all I could think of was the many names and faces that came flowing into my mind that are my support system and are so amazing. I get to call myself so lucky because I am surrounded by the good ones! So, so many good, genuinely good people who I am lucky enough to call my friends. I have felt really down yesterday and today and I originally was going to do a 'poor me' post, just cause I needed to get it off my chest but I just don't feel like that anymore because just reminding myself of all of you guys that are out there for me makes me feel happy. So here's to you the good ones...thanks for being my happy place!

A Few More Random Photos

I love photos. They are my happy place. So last night when I was super upset I worked on my photos, printing and framing them and getting them up around the house. Love it! Here's a few more I thought I would share.

My Fab Birthday

So I never posted too much about my birthday, but it was fab! On Thursday my girlfriends had a party for me and it was fun to just hang out and talk and chill! Thank you girls! For the weekend I went up to McCall with my mom, sister, Uncle Steve and Grandma and we had a blast! We got up there really late on Friday and went to bed, then Saturday my mom and sister went to the store and I got the place to myself to sleep in! We hung out and napped all day. Before dinner Becca and I went into town to Bistro 45 and sat and talked and had fun sister time! Then we headed back for dinner, homemade roasted chicken with potatoes and carrots and corn on the cob and Better than s.e.x cake for dessert- yum! Sunday we went on an outing, we drove up into Riggins and hiked down by the river and played on the beach, Addison loved it. She threw rocks and was so mad at me that I wouldn't let her get all the way in, just her toes. We then headed back to New Meadows and went to Zims' natural hot springs. The big pool there is like a luke warm bathtub so I was ok to sit on the edge and put my legs in. Addi once again loved it! We then headed back to the cabin and had another great dinner. I love when my mom and Grandma cook, so good! Monday we just hung out went on a drive to North Beach and hiked around and took pics. It was such a fabulous weekend and I'm so grateful for my family. They totally took care of me and did all the hard, dirty work so I could just sit back and have fun. It was a blast! Thank you for a wonderful birthday everyone!
